Every year in the music industry, a new act comes into the scene and rise to stardom. Over the years these new acts either stay relevant or are irrelevant after their first hit song.
In an exclusive interview with George Okaiteye a.k.a FloEazy (Ghana’s new sensational uprising star), immediately presented as confident, enthusiastic, and insightful. He was ready to “jump in” to more meaningful interview questions including his interest in music from the start. At the same time, he appeared comfortable engaging in more typical relaxed conversation where we were able to learn more about him and his personality.
In a chat with BoscyTV, FloEazy explained in insightful details, reasons why he is not in competition with Mr. Eazi or any other fellow musician in Africa, because he desires to grow gradually, build his brand as an artist and improve his craft.
“This is wrong now! I being called FloEazy doesn’t mean I’m in competition with Mr. Eazi or any other musician out there. I am not in competition with Mr. Eazi. There are so many things to work on myself; I can’t leave what’s important and be focusing on competing with someone who is far ahead of me. For the fact that we have a bit similarities in our name, doesn’t warrant any competition; my world has gone past that act of childishness.
It’s just like asking an U17 football player to play for the senior team because he is good; what happened to training the player, or grooming to get more experience? Music is a gradual process, things like this doesn’t freak me”, he said.
Speaking further, he confessed that he would like to work with lots of Ghanian and Nigerian artists. He is proud of his team, always open and ready to learn.
“It’s no lie, I have a great team who are making sure i get things done the right way”, he concluded.
